A two-bedroom condo that leans all the way into dark. Fumed oak runs floor to ceiling across the living wall, split into tall framed panels so the joinery reads as wall rather than cupboards. Most of it opens. Shoe storage, laundry, dry pantry, all of it behind the same face.

Light in here is warm and mostly hidden. A cove strip along the top of the joinery, another under the wall cabinets, a lit niche by the coffee corner. Very little of the work is done by ceiling downlights, which is why the room reads like evening at any hour.

Pale travertine on the counters and backsplash keeps the dark from swallowing everything. The peninsula is long enough to seat four, so it takes on dining duty and the floor stays clear. The balcony and the view over the low rooftops do the rest.
